Chance of rain in UAE to bring respite to hot and humid weather

  DUBAI – A chance of rainfall is expected to bring some respite to the UAE’s high temperatures and humidity levels on Saturday (August 15), according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The weather bureau said that the UAE will experience fair to partly cloudy weather in general on Saturday, although clouds eastward “may be associated with rainfall by afternoon”. Some rainfall is also expected in parts of the UAE on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. Temperatures are expected to peak at 44 degrees Celsius in coastal areas and islands, while internal areas and cities will experience hottest temperature at 47 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels will peak at 90 percent in coastal areas and islands, while internal areas will have 85 percent humidity levels. According to NCM, humidity levels are expected to increase by night and Sunday morning, with probability of fog. Here’s the UAE weather forecast for the rest of the week:

Sunday, August 16

Fair to partly cloudy in general and hazy at times, with a chance of some convective clouds formation eastward and southward, associated with rainfall by afternoon. Light to moderate southeasterly, becoming northwesterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust, with a speed of 18 – 30 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Monday, August 17

Hazy and partly cloudy to cloudy at times over some areas, especially eastward and southward. The temperatures tend to decrease over some internal areas. The relative humidity will increase by night and Tuesday morning over some coastal and internal areas especially Northwards. Light to moderate southeasterly, becoming northeasterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sand, with a speed of 20 – 30, reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Tuesday, August 18

Hazy and partly cloudy to cloudy at times over some areas, especially Eastward and Southward, associated with rainfall by afternoon. Humid by night and Wednesday morning over northern coastal areas, with a probability of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sand, with a speed of 20 – 30, reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Wednesday, August 19

Partly cloudy to cloudy in general, with a chance of convective clouds over some eastern and western internal areas, maybe associated rainfall by afternoon. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sand, with a speed of 20 – 30, reaching 40 km/hr.
