Chinese tourist accused of raping masseuse at Dubai house party

  DUBAI – A Chinese tourist with Hepatitis B and syphilis is on trial for allegedly raping a Chinese masseuse at a house party in Al Barsha. In court on Monday (February 1), the 34-year-old man denied that he raped the woman and claimed that she made up the story to blackmail him. The 22-year-old masseuse said that the incident happened on September 22 last year during the villa party in Al Barsha. She said that the tourist was drinking alcohol with his friends before he asked her to clean his room and give him a massage. “In his bedroom, he locked the door and attacked me,” she testified, adding that her screams for help couldn’t be heard due to loud music from the party. She said that the tourist also broke her mobile phone, ripped up her clothes and then raped her. She was able to call police after the alleged assault. A policeman who responded to the incident said the Chinese man drunk when police arrived at the villa. The Chinese national was arrested. A medical exam found that he has Hepatitis B and syphilis. In court, the man’s lawyer claimed that the Chinese man had consensual sex with the masseuse and that he fell asleep during the massage and only woke up after police arrived.
