CZN Burak Dubai reopens after being shut down for breaking Covid-19 rules

DUBAI – The management of CZN Burak confirmed that the popular Turkish restaurant reopens on Sunday (February 14) following its shutdown for breaking Covid-19 rules. This came after the Dubai Media Office announced on Friday that Dubai authorities have closed “a famous restaurant in Dubai for not adhering to Covid-19 precautionary measures”. In a statement to media on Sunday, CZN Burak management said staff was overwhelmed by huge numbers of diners drawn to the restaurant owned by celebrity chef Burak Ozdemir. "With Chef Burak being a famous and loved celebrity, it has been a bit challenging for the restaurant to control the crowds who came to greet and meet him in person," management said. The restaurant in Downtown Dubai was shut down over the weekend after a surprise inspection by the Department of Economic Development. According to CZN Burak, it will reopen with “better and stricter safety measures”, including the reduction of the number of seats inside and outside the restaurant. Management also said that staff will make sure all diners will remain seated during their entire dining experience. The restaurant said it has reduced the number of seats inside and outside the venue and has been conducting weekly PCR testing of staff. " take this as an opportunity to implement better and stricter safety measurements to ensure the compliance with the local government regulations," it said. "The restaurant will reopen on Sunday and the staff will make sure that all diners remain seated during their entire dining experience." ICA/Expat Media
