Residents can book RTA taxis using DTC app

Parents in Dubai can now pre-book online taxis for school pick-ups and drop-offs using the RTA's Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) app, the Road and Transport Authority of Dubai (RTA) announced. The app is available for Apple and Android users. According to RTA, residents in the Emirate can book daily, weekly or monthly, especially in places not covered by school buses. Alongside the announcement, RTA has also introduced a new feature in the app, enhancing the confidence and security of the taxi service. The new "In-Safe Hands" service ensures the expansion of delivery services with fast processes of customer requests. According to Abdullah Ibrahim Al Meer, Director of DTC Digitisation and Commercial Development, DTC is keen to serve clients by offering exceptional services and integrating the multi-modal transport of RTA. The service was introduced on the digital app in response to a remarkable rise in demand, which saw a 122 percent increase between 2021 and 2022. RZSP/Expat Media
