Dubai’s Dh590 million smart traffic centre: First look

DUBAI – The Dubai Centre for Intelligent Traffic Systems has just opened in Dubai to reduce accident response times and help manage traffic congestion in the emirate. The smart centre for traffic management, built at a cost of Dh590 million, was inaugurated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The facility, the centre for a network of smart cameras linked to databases, is considered one of the biggest and most sophisticated centres in the world.
