Residents across the UAE can expect dusty conditions, strong winds and periods of reduced visibility over the coming days, with temperatures and humidity also forecast to rise, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). The weather authority said blowing dust and sand are expected in several parts of the country as northwesterly winds strengthen, particularly in western areas. Motorists have been advised to exercise caution as visibility could be significantly reduced at times. Sea conditions are also expected to deteriorate, especially in the Arabian Gulf, where waters will become rough to very rough on some days. The unsettled conditions come as the UAE transitions further into the summer season, when stronger winds and dust storms are common. Humidity levels are also expected to increase, raising the likelihood of mist and fog formation in some coastal areas during the early morning hours.

Wednesday (June 3) Fair in general. Light to moderate winds, freshening at times, causing blowing dust during daytime. The sea will be rough, especially westward in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea. Thursday (June 4) Fair in general and dusty at times. Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds, fresh to strong at times, causing blowing dust and sand and reducing horizontal visibility, especially westward, with speeds of 10-25km/h, reaching 45km/h. The sea will be moderate to rough, becoming very rough at times by late night in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea. Friday (June 5) Fair in general and dusty at times. Temperatures are expected to decrease slightly, especially along coastal areas. Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds, fresh to strong at times, causing blowing dust and sand and reducing horizontal visibility, with speeds of 15-30km/h, reaching 50km/h. The sea will be rough to very rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea. Saturday (June 6) Fair in general and dusty at times, with low clouds appearing in eastern areas and another drop in temperatures. Humid by night and Sunday morning over some northern coastal areas, with a probability of mist formation. Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds, fresh to strong at times, causing blowing dust and sand and reducing horizontal visibility, with speeds of 10-25km/h, reaching 45km/h. The sea will be very rough to rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea. Sunday (June 7) Fair in general, with clouds appearing eastward and temperatures increasing again. Humid by night and Monday morning over some coastal areas, with a probability of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds, freshening at times and causing blowing dust and sand in western areas, with speeds of 10-25km/h, reaching 40km/h.
