DUBAI – The overseas voting for the 2022 Philippine Elections is underway in the UAE, with the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai announcing that it will impose an early cut-off time for voter admission from May 6 to 9. This comes after the Philippine Consulate witnessed an “overwhelming number” of voters in recent days. “Those intending to vote from May 6 to 8 in the Philippine Consulate General must be queue before 7pm for them to be accommodated inside the polling precinct and allowed to vote,” according to the Philippine Consulate in a statement sent to media. “On May 9, they must be inside consulate premises or within 30 meters of the consulate’s entrance gate by 3pm in order to allowed to vote,” the consulate advised. According to the Philippine Consulate, the early cut-off period is aimed at accommodating all voters in the queue.

1. Check if your name is in the registered voters list, which is on the website of the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai (for voters in Dubai and northern Emirates), or the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi (for voters in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain). 2.
