Honest Dubai driver returns bag with Rolex, Macbook

DUBAI – An Irish tourist in Dubai expressed gratitude and admiration after a taxi driver returned his bag that contained a Rolex watch, an iPad and a Macbook. Alan Gardner, 45, forgot the bag in the taxi as he got off at a hotel apartment in Dubai Marina on Wednesday (December 9). Luckily for the businessman, Indian driver Firos CK, 38, managed to track him down after his next passenger told him about the bag left in the passenger seat. Firos said he found Gardner’s details written in a personal diary in the bag, which was handed over to the businessman hours later. Gardner was happy to get back his bag, which contained the precious Rolex watch that was a gift from his wife. Gardner said he was impressed by Firos’ honesty and perseverance in returning the bag to him. The taxi driver refused to take his reward.
