Min Bernardo, the mother of actress Kathryn Bernardo, has urged fans to be cautious about misinformation circulating online, particularly regarding her daughter's personal life. In a conversation with Tita Long Gumatay, founder of a Kathryn Bernardo fan club, Min addressed the spread of fake news on social media. "‘Wag kayo masyadong naniniwala sa mga fake news (Don’t believe in fake news)," she said, advising fans not to fall for baseless rumors. While Min did not specify which fake news she was referring to, speculation about Kathryn’s alleged reconciliation with her former boyfriend, actor Daniel Padilla, has been widely discussed online. Social media personality Christian Gaza previously claimed that the two were in communication and meeting again, though he stopped short of confirming their relationship status. As of now, neither Kathryn nor Daniel has issued a statement addressing these rumors. The former celebrity couple had been together for 11 years before publicly announcing their breakup in November 2023. The exact reason for their split remains undisclosed. It came just months after they shared sweet moments on stage at a concert in Abu Dhabi in March 2024. Despite the breakup, Kathryn and Daniel remain among the most-followed Filipino celebrities, with fans closely monitoring their interactions. However, Min Bernardo emphasized the importance of verifying information before believing or spreading it online. Kathryn and Daniel's loyal fanbase, known as "KathNiel," continues to express their support for both actors, regardless of their relationship status.
