Microsoft’s cheaper Xbox expandable storage cards for launching

Microsoft is preparing to introduce its new, cheaper Xbox expanded storage options from other manufacturers. The Verge said in a report that a new Western Digital 1TB expansion card for Xbox Series S/X consoles was previously sighted at Best Buy for $179.99 (Dh661.05). The tech giant released the first Xbox expandable storage cards nearly three years ago with its Xbox Series S/X consoles. The 1TB cards were made solely by Seagate and cost $219.99 (Dh807.96). "While we've seen 512GB and 2TB options appear from Seagate, prices have stubbornly remained high, despite similar storage for PS5 consoles dropping significantly," said the report. There must be a second Xbox expandable storage manufacturer, which should help stabilize costs. It is still unknown when Western Digital's new 1TB expansion card for Xbox will be accessible. The IT giant ceased offering its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscription platforms last month. These platforms let customers try the service for a month for just $1 (Dh3.67) before upgrading to more costly plans. KD/Expat Media
