Global Student Prize: New $50,000 UAE award for top students

DUBAI – Exceptional students in the UAE and around the world stand the chance to win $50,0000 as part of the Global Student Prize in the UAE. The new Global Student Prize, a "sister award" of the $1 million Global Teacher Prize, is open to students aged 16 and above. The prize is open to "exceptional students" who have made an impact on the world. It is open to full-time or part-time students, as well as those enrolled in online courses. Chegg.org, the advocacy arm of US education technology company Chegg, partnered with the Varkey Foundation to establish the prize. Students applying for the Global Student Prize will be assessed on academic achievement, impact on peers and community, as well as creativity and innovation. Students can send their applications through globalteacherprize.org before April 30. The winner will be announced at a ceremony later in 2021. ICA/Expat Media
