New Abrahamic Abu Dhabi landmark opening in 2022

  DUBAI – The Abrahamic Family House, a new Abu Dhabi landmark, is set to open on Saadiyat Island next year. The place of worship will feature three structures: a mosque, church and synagogue to bring together the faiths of Islam, Christianity and Judaism. The Abrahamic Family House will also feature a central garden, a museum and an education centre where visitors can learn about religious tolerance. The inter-faith structure is being built to commemorate Pope Francis’ visit to the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander, revealed in 2019. The site was designed by award-winning architect Sir David Adjaye, who described it as an “incredible project”. “This is a really special project that hits on the trinity of this Abrahamic faith that is influencing over half the world's population,” Adjaye told delegates of the World Economic Forum Forum last month.
