For the first time in Dubai’s New Year history, a 20-minute live performance at the Dubai Fountain captivated thousands of spectators ahead of the iconic fireworks display at Burj Khalifa on December 31 (Wednesday). The immersive show combined live music, choreography and aerial performances. Highlights included violinists, a full orchestra performing on water, dance troupes, a trapeze walker, acrobats on jet skis, flyboarders and a dramatic centrepiece featuring a female conductor. Dressed in a flowing red gown with a long cape, the conductor gradually rose into the air, facing Burj Khalifa, as the countdown to the New Year began. The performance seamlessly transitioned into the midnight fireworks and laser show at the world’s tallest tower. The live spectacle was enhanced by the newly upgraded Dubai Fountain’s water and fire effects, creating a synchronized visual experience that drew applause and cheers from the crowd. ICA/Expat Media
