Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque during your Ramadan visit

Visitors to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi can expect a smooth visit despite an expected influx of people this Ramadan. According to officials, the biggest mosque in the UAE has completed its preparations for Ramadan, recruiting more than 580 volunteers to work alongside centre employees and authorities. The mosque will also have more than 70 electric cars to transport worshippers from parking lots to prayer halls. Priority use of these cars will be given to the elderly and people of determination. Parking has been expanded to 8,379 parking spaces, or 1,800 more parking spaces this year. For people of determination, the centre is providing more than 3,515 chairs and 50 wheelchairs. The mosque will have a daily cannon firing throughout Ramadan to mark iftar time and to announce the advent of Eid Al Fitr. ICA/Expat Media
