Citizens can apply Emirati passports through 5 channels

The UAE’s Digital Government has identified five channels where citizens can obtain, renew, or replace a lost or damaged Emirati passport. The five channels are the following; the General Departments of Residency and Foreigners Affairs/ Citizenship Section, the Nationality and Residence portal (e-channels), the passport service for citizens via the Internet -Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), and Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah Airports. The passport renewal channel at Abu Dhabi and Dubai airports offers 24/7 service. However, if a citizen was outside the country when his passport expired or was lost or damaged, he must contact the UAE embassy or consulate to get a new one. To obtain a new passport, the citizen must submit three documents: the family book or a copy of it, the original ID or a copy of it, and a recent personal photo, with the need to hand over the old passport. Moreover, citizens who inquire about Emirati passports in Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates can contact the General Departments of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
