UAE sends 74 cargo planes of relief aids
As part of the "Gallant Knight /2" operation, the UAE has sent more relief aid to the victims of the recent 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria. More food, medical and sheltering supplies have been provided as the Emirate deployed 74 cargo planes; 41 planes to Syria and 33 to Turkey. The UAE search and rescue teams have also been extending their efforts to search for more survivors under the rubble. UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has given Dh184 million to Syria, additional assistance to the Dh73 million humanitarian project response of the United Nations, which will be carried out in coordination with the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA). The UAE President had previously provided Dh184 million in aid to Syria and an additional Dh184 million to Turkey.
