100 Dubai VIP number plates to be auctioned off
DUBAI – Registration for the auction of VIP car number plates in Dubai began on Sunday (May 12) as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) offered another batch for the hammer.
A total of 100 plates will be up for auction. Number plates will feature three to five digits in H to T codes. Bidding will kick off at 8am on May 19.
Last month, more than 90 VIP plates were sold at auction, fetching more than Dh23.47 million.
The most expensive number plate, W12, sold for Dh4 million. Plate numbers Z20 and Z222 fetched Dh 2.76 million and Dh1.75 million respectively.
