Public transport users in Ajman reach 11.75 million

More than 11 million people used public transport in Ajman in the first half of this year, according to Ajman Government’s Transport Authority. The first quarter of 2022 saw 11,752,280 people use public transport like buses and taxis in Ajman, according to the transport authority. This represents an increase of 64 percent of public transport users in the emirate compared to last year. This year, Ajman launched several public transport routes, including the Dubai International Airport Line directly linking the main station with the airport, as well as the Industrial Feeder Line. The bus fleet was also updated with the addition of eight buses. The number of people using taxis in the first half of 2022 was 9,858,306, and the total number of trips was 4,929,153, a rise of 37 percent compared to 2021.
