Minimum driving age lowered to 17

Teenagers aged 17 can now apply for a driving license, reducing the minimum age requirement from 18.

Pedestrian restrictions on high-speed roads

Crossing roads with speed limits over 80 km/h is now prohibited, with violators facing penalties.

No repairs on roadways

Vehicles cannot stop or be repaired on roads or curbs to ensure smoother traffic flow and safety.

Noise restrictions for vehicles

Noisy vehicles face stricter regulations, and car alarms must only be used to prevent accidents or emergencies.

Permit for hazardous material transport

Special permits are now mandatory for transporting hazardous or unusual materials.

Stricter rules for driving trainers

Trainers must be licensed and ensure trainees have control of their vehicles in populated areas.

Fitness evaluation for drivers

Authorities can suspend or reject licenses if a driver is deemed medically unfit.

Vehicle modifications require approval

Major changes to a vehicle’s body, chassis, or color need prior approval from licensing authorities.

Insurance coverage assurance

Insurers cannot limit or exclude coverage for civil liabilities, including death, injury, or property damage.

Self-driving car regulations

Licensing and inspections for self-driving vehicles will follow guidelines to be issued by a Cabinet resolution.

Smart licensing applications

Licenses and permits can now be obtained via online platforms approved by the Ministry of Interior.

Formation of Federal Traffic Council

A new council will oversee traffic strategies and regulations, ensuring comprehensive management.

Integration of advanced technologies
