Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed orders loan repayment exemption for citizens

  DUBAI – A total of 1,656 debtors in the UAE will be exempted from loan repayment under a new order by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. The loan repayment exemption will be granted to Emirati retirees and families of deceased Emirati debtors, according to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s orders. The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince also ordered the disbursement of housing loans for Emiratis in Abu Dhabi as part of an initiative coinciding with Eid Al Fitr in the UAE. The total value of the loan repayment exemptions and housing loan grants is Dh2.21 billion. The initiative comes in implementation of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed's directives as part of Ghadan 21, Abu Dhabi's accelerator programme, to increase home loans for Emiratis. ICA/Expat Media
