Driver lost control of the vehicle that swerved and turned over several times

  UMM AL QUWAIN – Police on Tuesday were investigating a car crash that killed two Emirati men at the Kaber desert area. The fatalities, who police described as in their 20s, were traveling on the highway in the Kaber desert when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to swerve and turn over several times during the incident on Monday. Lt. Col. Saeed Obaid Bin Aran, director of the Traffic and Patrols Department of the UAQ Police Directorate General, said the victims sustained serious injuries in the accident. When the Umm Al Quwain police office was alerted about the incident, rescuers and paramedics rushed to the site of the accident and brought the victims to the Shaikh Khalifa Public Hospital. One of the two men was declared by attending hospital personnel as dead on arrival while his companion succumbed to his injuries while being treated. Following the accident, Bin Aran advised motorists to be extra careful and not to drive too fast when traveling in the desert area especially on non-asphalted roads.
