A massive road crash involving 20 vehicles in Dibba, Fujairah left at least nine people injured on Wednesday evening (June 11), according to local authorities. The chain collision happened on the road between Waib Al Hannah and Dibba Al Fujairah, and involved 16 cars and four trucks. The road was completely closed to traffic in both directions following the accident. The crash resulted in eight minor injuries and one moderate injury, police said. All victims were transported to nearby hospitals for medical care. Upon receiving the emergency call, multiple units rushed to the scene, including patrol teams from Dibba Al Fujairah Police, the Traffic and Patrols Department, Masafi Comprehensive Police Station, and paramedics from National Ambulance. Police teams managed traffic, assisted victims, and worked to reopen the road after clearing the wreckage. The Fujairah Police General Command confirmed that a full investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the pile-up and said legal procedures will follow. Police also issued a renewed call for drivers to “exercise caution, adhere to speed limits, and maintain a safe distance between vehicles—especially on mountainous roads or in congested areas.” ICA/Expat Media
