DUBAI – Two hundred Dubai car plates with 3, 4 or 5 digits will be auctioned off on July 28, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
The RTA said that the plates to go under the hammer will have the codes A, B, and H to T.
Registration for bidders is open until July 21. Bidders must pay a fee of Dh120, have a traffic file in Dubai and submit a cheque of Dh5,000 as security deposit.
Distinct license plates have been sold at high-value auctions in the UAE in the past few years, with the last auction fetching a total of Dh23.7 million for 90 number plates.
