Spectacular fireworks are expected to light up the skies in the UAE to ring in the New Year. We have rounded up some of the best places where you can watch fireworks in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.

DUBAI

Burj Khalifa

The world’s tallest building is going to outdo itself in 2023 with a new record for the largest laser display from the 828-metre Burj Khalifa, in addition to spectacular fireworks, and synchronized show by The Dubai Fountain. ALSO READ: Downtown Dubai gets ready for Burj Khalifa NYE show

Dubai Festival City Mall

Dubai Festival City Mall’s NYE fireworks is going to be one of the longest this year, clocking in at five minutes at Festival Bay. Plus, visitors can also enjoy the IMAGINE water and laser show.

Global Village

Why celebrate the New Year just once? Ring in 2023 in seven different time zones from one destination – that’s seven times the fun every hour starting at 8pm in UAE as it strikes midnight in the Philippines. Fireworks will last for five minutes each. Get ready for dazzling fireworks, a live DJ and entertainment throughout the evening before the final countdown to New Year in Turkey at 1am. Tickets cost Dh18.

Bluewaters Island

Catch New Year’s Eve fireworks on Bluewaters Island, home of the world’s tallest observation wheel, Ain Dubai. Bluewaters Island will kick-start its three-minute-long fireworks show at 11:59pm. While waiting, you can also watch the evening drone show.

Dubai Frame

The Dubai Frame is preparing some amazing fireworks to ring in 2023. As always, it is going to be another picture-perfect moment.

Burj Al Arab

The world’s only seven star hotel, Burj Al Arab, will host another spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks show. Definitely an Instagrammable view with fireworks coming from the sail-shaped hotel by the sea. Fireworks at Burj Al Arab

Palm Jumeirah

Palm Jumeirah will also have dazzling fireworks to ring in 2023 and the best place to watch it for free is from The Pointe or on the Palm Jumeirah walkway. Take the Palm Monorail to avoid traffic.

Al Seef

On Dubai Creek, Dubai’s heritage district of Al Seef will start of a three-minute fireworks show starting at 11:59pm. On New Year’s day, Al Seef will repeat the fireworks show at 8:30pm.

Town Square Dubai

Head to Town Square Plaza to ring in the New Year starting at 6pm on December 31, until 1am on January 1. There will be fireworks, live DJ, a circus, roving performers and musical acts.

Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR)

A three-minute firework will set off from The Beach JBR at 11:59pm. Across the water, you can also see fireworks from Bluewaters Island as 2023 rolls in! Before this, you can enjoy the DSF Drones Light Show for free on the skies above Bluewaters Island.

Riverland

Dubai Parks and Resorts is also preparing a stunning fireworks show, with festivities between 7pm and 9pm.

RAS AL KHAIMAH

Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah will celebrate the New Year with a spectacular musical firework display that will attempt to set new world records. Visitors are in for a jaw-dropping pyromusical covering a 4.7km stretch along the waterfront between Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra Village. The 12-minute fireworks display will feature pyro drones and nano lights choreographed to electronic beats.

ABU DHABI

Yas Island

The skies above Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island will light up twice with dancing fireworks at 9pm and at midnight to ring in 2023. Yas Island fireworks to light up Eid Al Fitr

SHARJAH

Al Majaz Waterfront

The Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah will have an 8-minute firework show above Khalid Lagoon. Be there by 7:45pm on December 31 to watch a special flyboard show and musical shows, and check out the restaurants and cafes.

Al Noor Island

Mega fireworks are in store for you on Al Noor Island in Sharjah, but before that you can enjoy a delicious dinner by the bay from 9pm on December 31. Tickets to island access with special New Year’s Eve dining experience cost Dh340 for adults and Dh150 for children.

Khorfakkan Beach

Catch a LED show, fire show and bubble shows on Khorfakkan beach starting at 7:45pm on December 31 as you countdown to the new year on the stunning beachfront destination. ICA/Expat Media
