Three Asian hikers were rescued from the Hatta Mountains after suffering from exhaustion during a trek, the UAE National Guard reported. The hikers encountered health complications during their climb on Tuesday (May 20), prompting a swift evacuation operation coordinated by the UAE National Guard, the National Search and Rescue Center, and the Border Guard. The Dubai Police Command and Control Center also assisted in the successful rescue. The trio were airlifted and transported to a nearby hospital where they received necessary medical care. No further injuries were reported. Following the incident, the UAE National Guard urged the public to take all necessary precautions when hiking in mountainous areas. “We call on mountain visitors to adhere to public safety guidelines and take the necessary preventative measures to ensure their safety,” said a spokesperson. Authorities also reminded the public to dial the search and rescue hotline (995) to report emergencies requiring immediate assistance or intervention. ICA/Expat Media
