3 most popular college courses in UAE revealed

According to the Dubai Private Education Landscape report by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, higher education saw a 4.84 percent growth this year. Which courses were popular among college students? Accounting topped the list with 59.3 percent of enrollments this year. The surge in enrollees in accounting may be linked to the high salaries that accountants reportedly get in the UAE. Accountants are considered among the top ten highest paid professionals in the country, with salaries ranging from Dh6,000 to Dh160,000 per month, according to recruitment specialists Hays. Engineering came in second place with 14.9 percent of enrollments. Engineers are also among the highest paid professionals in the UAE, according to the same report by Hays.
