4 hikers rescued after getting lost in Ras Al Khaimah valley
DUBAI – Four female hikers who lost their way while trekking Ras Al Khaimah’s Wadi Naqab valley have been rescued, according to Ras Al Khaimah Civil Defence. The hikers got lost when night fell on the valley on Tuesday (January 4). The three Emirati women and an Arab woman are between the ages of 25 and 37. One of the women managed to call the Ras Al Khaimah Civil Defence for help at 7:17pm. “She said that she and her friends got lost in a rocky area of Naqab Valley because of the dark,” said Brigadier General Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaabi, director of Ras Al Khaimah Civil Defence Department. A rescue team drove to the area before continuing their search on foot due to the rocky terrain. They found the women after a two-hour search. Brigadier Al Zaabi said the women did not suffer any injuries and were all in good health.
