5-day UAE weather forecast: more rain until Thursday

  DUBAI – Rain of different intensities fell on Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other parts of the UAE on Sunday (December 15), with the weather bureau forecasting five days of rainfall in the emirates. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), rainfall is expected to last until Thursday, with warning of “some flash floods in the north and east”. On Sunday, the NCM said that there will be more “chance of rain clouds accompanied with rainfall of different intensities, with fresh to strong winds causing rough sea until 2am on Monday.” At the Jaddaf Waterfront in Dubai, light rain fell on new developments on the latest cultural hub, which houses Palazzo Versace and IntercityHotel Dubai Jaddaf Waterfront. In Abu Dhabi, light rain fell on the city and the Al Dhafra area. Weather charts on the NCM website showed rain clouds stretching from Abu Dhabi City up to Umm Al Quwain.

Partly cloudy to cloudy at times especially over the sea and some coastal, Northern And Eastern areas extends toward some Internal areas with rainfall. Moderate to fresh Southwesterly to Northwesterly winds, with a speed of 20 – 35, reaching 45 km/hr. Sea will be Moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Partly cloudy to cloudy at times with a chance of intermittent rainfall over scattered areas, with a drop in temperatures. Moderate to fresh Northwesterly to Northeasterly winds especially over the Sea, with a speed of 20 – 32, reaching 42 km/hr. Sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and Moderate to rough and in Oman Sea.
