The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) reminded UAE firms to complete the Emiratisation process before it begins to impose fines for non-compliance in 50 days. Companies with 50 or more employees are encouraged to increase their emigration rate by 2% of total skilled jobs. Failure to meet the Emiratisation target will result in a Dh72,000 annual contribution for each UAE national who is not appointed on January 1, 2023. "We reaffirm our belief in developing the UAE labour market in partnership with the private sector to help achieve an improved business environment and investment climate that encourages companies, investors, entrepreneurs, and talented people from all over the world to work in the UAE, especially in strategic sectors," the ministry said in a statement. The ministry has also urged companies to take advantage of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council's incentives and support packages (NAFIS).
