A 51-year-old European woman was critically injured in a motorcycle accident in Al Badayer, Sharjah, prompting an urgent air ambulance evacuation to a nearby hospital. The Ministry of Interior shared a video documenting the dramatic rescue, highlighting the crucial role of Air Ambulance teams in responding to life-threatening emergencies. Authorities stated that the accident occurred in Al Badayer, a popular desert destination known for off-road biking and dune bashing. The woman sustained serious injuries while riding a motorcycle in the area. Upon receiving an emergency call, the National Ambulance Service alerted the Air Wing Operations Room, which immediately dispatched a helicopter to the scene. "The rescue team arrived quickly, stabilizing the patient on-site before transporting her to Al Dhaid Hospital for urgent medical care," officials said. The Air Ambulance Unit, operated under the Ministry of Interior, plays a vital role in responding to severe road accidents, especially in remote locations where ground ambulances may take longer to reach. "The swift response of emergency medical teams can make the difference between life and death," a Ministry spokesperson emphasized. "Our priority is to ensure that critically injured individuals receive medical attention as fast as possible."
