Over 7.1 million international visitors visited Dubai in just 6 months

In the first half of 2022, Dubai welcomed approximately 7.12 million overnight tourists from other countries. Tourist numbers are now closing in on pre-pandemic levels, with a growth of more than 183 percent year on year in the first half of 2022. A little over 2.5 million tourists visited Dubai between January and June of last year. Furthermore, the number of tourists recorded in H1 2022 is close to the numbers achieved in the first six months of 2019: 8.36 million tourists. The capacity of the emirate to swiftly resume pre-pandemic tourism levels is “even more remarkable, given the impact of unprecedented challenges and other macroeconomic factors on the global economy and tourism sector," the Government of Dubai Media Office said.
