7 reasons to visit Gulfood in Dubai

  DUBAI - Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, opened the 25th edition of Gulfood 2020 in Dubai on Sunday (February 16). The five-day mega exhibition runs until February 20 at the Dubai World Trade Centre and attracts government ministers, trade delegations and national organisations like the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry. This year, the Philippines will highlight the country's premium food products along with Halal and other certified products. Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Hjayceelyn Quintana and other Philippine officials led the opening of the Philippine pavilion. Leading Italian fruit and vegetable suppliers will be exhibiting at Gulfood 2020, thanks to an initiative led by CSO Italy, the Italian fruit and vegetable cooperative, and the European Union. This year’s Gulfood will also feature the participation of food and beverage companies operating in the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority. The authority will introduce investment opportunities in Sharjah and shed light on its mega project “Sharjah Food Park”, the region’s first and largest city dedicated to food and commercial industries.
