8 killed in Dubai traffic accidents during Ramadan with 40 vehicles involved in 26 incidents

  DUBAI - Despite earlier warnings by authorities to strictly observe traffic rules, at least eight people were still killed while 12 others were hurt in traffic accidents during Ramadan. Since June 6, Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of Dubai Traffic Police, said there were 26 traffic incidents recorded until June 16. About 40 vehicles were involved. He added that 17 of the cases involved vehicles crashing into each other or into objects, five were run-over accidents and four involved vehicle overturning. Col. Al Mazroui urged the public to abide by traffic rules and regulations to avoid accidents. He  warned against speeding, using or parking in the hard shoulder, dangerously overtaking and any other dangerous behavior.  CLM/Expat Media
