88% recover from Covid-19 in UAE, with 352 Covid-free on July 20

  DUBAI – The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Monday (July 20) reported that 352 more people have recovered from coronavirus in the country, bringing the total number of recoveries to 49,621. The latest figures show that 88 percent of Covid-19 patients in the UAE have recovered from the virus, with just 7,232 remaining active cases out of 57,193 total cases in the country. The death rate for coronavirus remains low, with one new death on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 340. Meanwhile, the health ministry said that mass testing continues across the country, with 27,000 new Covid-19 tests conducted in 24 hours. The UAE recently began final phase 3 human trials of a Covid-19 vaccine in Abu Dhabi. Registration is currently open for volunteers in the clinical trials of the vaccine. ICA/Expat Media
