Authorities confirmed that a driver's body was found in a car that caught fire after colliding with a truck on Tuesday on Abu Dhabi's Sweihan Road. "Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle died in the incident," police said in a statement. Authorities also added that the body was discovered after the fire was put out. At 8 am on Tuesday, a truck and car collided on Sweihan Road before Al Shamkha Bridge. After the crash, both vehicles caught fire, prompting the police to close the road as clearing operations took place. The Abu Dhabi Police said it took the authorities until 11 am on Wednesday to put out the fire completely. No other person was injured in the incident.
