Abu Dhabi: 3,000 new parking spaces opened for motorcycles

To ease citizens' struggles with finding parking, the city of Abu Dhabi has added more than 3,000 parking places specifically for motorcycles. The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has emphasized that the development of the infrastructure for motorcycle parking is a part of its plan to facilitate the movement of community members, enhance customer satisfaction, and protect the comfort and convenience of the community members. "These parking lots also contribute to reducing the random parking of motorcycles and enhancing the safety of the community, as 3,025 parking spaces have been completed in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, designated for motorcycles, until the end of last month," the ITC said in a statement. Authorities from the ITC have also requested that motorcyclists adhere to the rules and guidelines that are in place for using public parking. They emphasize that motorists who park their motorcycles in the incorrect spaces will be subject to legal action. Over the past few years, there has been a sizeable increase in the number of motorcycles operating in the nation's capital to provide delivery services. As a result, motorcycle riders have difficulty finding parking spaces for their vehicles, particularly in the downtown area. BKM/ Expat Media
