Abu Dhabi Police has arrested 375 individuals of various nationalities for allegedly filming sensitive incidents and sharing misleading information on social media. Authorities said the suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution for legal action in accordance with UAE laws. Police stressed that such actions violate regulations aimed at protecting public safety and maintaining social stability, especially during ongoing regional developments. “Such practices constitute a clear violation of laws and regulations aimed at protecting society and preserving its security and stability,” authorities said. The force reiterated that it will take firm action against anyone found spreading panic or attempting to influence public opinion through false or unverified information. Despite repeated warnings, some individuals continued to ignore official guidance, police said. Residents have been urged to verify information before sharing it online and rely only on credible, official sources. The latest arrests follow an earlier announcement on Friday (March 14), when 45 individuals in Abu Dhabi were detained for similar violations. Authorities across the UAE continue to remind the public that irresponsible social media use can lead to legal consequences and unnecessary public concern.
