Abu Dhabi Police began a two-day ban on workers’ buses, trucks and other heavy vehicles on major roads on Sunday (December 31). The ban, which was rolled out at 7am, will be enforced until 7am on January 1. Under the ban, heavy vehicles will not be allowed on Sheikh Zayed Bridge, Sheikh Khalifa Bridge, Mussafah Bridge and Al Maqtaa Bridge, according to the Traffic and Patrols Directorate of the Abu Dhabi Police.
