A general manager of an Abu Dhabi real estate firm filed a lawsuit against her tenant, accusing him of insulting her via WhatsApp for no apparent reason. Court records state that the woman filed the complaint at the Abu Dhabi Family and Civil Administrative Court, seeking that the man pay her Dh300,000 in moral and material damages. According to her lawsuit, she is the general manager of a real estate company linked with a major property management group. The defendant communicated with one of her workers via WhatsApp because he had a water problem in his apartment. She claimed that the man insulted her for no reason. When he appeared in court, the defendant rejected the charges leveled against him. The tenant's lawyer stated that the accusations made against his client were malicious and without evidence. He asked the judge to dismiss the case, citing insufficient evidence to prove his client insulted the plaintiff. The judge decided to dismiss the case due to a lack of evidence after hearing from all parties. According to the jury's ruling, the complainant failed to show evidence that the defendant undermined or insulted her. The judge also ordered the plaintiff to reimburse the tenant's legal fees.
