Reaching Dubai from Abu Dhabi in just 57 minutes instead of the usual two hours will soon be possible with Etihad Rail's passenger trains. Etihad Rail has also shared the travel times for its passenger trains in other areas across the UAE. A trip from Abu Dhabi to Al Ruwais will son take just 70 minutes, even though the distance is 240 km. Meanwhile, traveling from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah will only take 105 minutes. More destinations and timings will be announced soon. The passenger rail service will link 11 cities and regions across the UAE, stretching from Al Sila to Fujairah, including Ruwais, Al Mirfa, Sharjah, Al Dhaid, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai. Officials have already revealed two passenger station locations—one in Sakamkam, Fujairah, and another in University City, Sharjah. Etihad Rail is preparing to launch its passenger service, with more announcements expected in the coming months. While the launch date is not set yet, the service is expected to carry about 36.5 million passengers each year once it becomes operational. FLE/Expat Media
