Abu Dhabi eyes world record with 35-minute firework show on New Year’s Eve

  ABU DHABI – The longest firework show is being prepared in Abu Dhabi, with the emirate set on breaking the world record with a 35-minute pyrotechnic display. The spectacular show will be part of the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba and is set to break two Guinness World Records with longest and largest fireworks display featuring spinning fireworks called Girandola. January 1 update: Watch the record-breaking fireworks The New Year’s Eve festivities will start at 3pm on December 31, with a UAE Fountain and Laser shows, plus performances by local and international bands, activities and food trucks.
