A 39-year-old man was ordered to vacate his father's home after the latter claimed that he had overstayed on his land despite having his own home. According to court papers, the father filed a case against his son, requesting that he be forced to leave the apartment annexed to his home and hand it back to him. According to the father's complaint, he housed his son in his apartment for several years until he could build his own house. He stated that he requested his son to leave his apartment and live in his newly built home, but the son refused, prompting the father to go to court. The father informed the court that his son was 39 years old, sane, working, and earning money and that it was past time for him to cover his expenditures, including housing. The son's lawyer confirmed that his client was disabled and had lived in his father's house since childhood. The lawyer argued that it was wrong for the father to chase away his disabled son from his home and that the father keeping the son in his house is not considered hosting. The Al Ain Court of First Instance ruled that the son would leave his father's home. The man was also ordered to pay his father's legal fees.
