Six babies were born on Arafat Day and four others were delivered on Eid al-Adha

  ABU DHABI – The Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children located in the country's capital recorded 10 births on Arafat Day and on Eid al-Adha. Among those born was a set of twin boys. The hospital said five infants (five boys and a girl) were born on Arafat Day and then four others (two boys and two girls) were born during the first few hours of Eid al-Adha. The twins were named Mahmoud and Ahmed, it was learned from their father, Abdul Qader Darwish. The twins weighed 1.8 kgs each and were born at 11:55 p.m. on Arafat Day – the first day of Eid al-Adha. Abdel said: "The birth of our twins on this blessed night was a surprise for us and now the memorable occasion is tripled for us. We named them Mahmoud and Ahmed and we are very thankful for this blessing." Dr. Rihan Saafan, consultant, Obstetrics and Gynecology at Danat Al Emarat Hospital, delivered the twins. Saafan said: "Multiple pregnancies are associated with higher possibility of early delivery. The twins were due in the third week of October but decided to join the family on this special occasion of all and tripled the joy of their parents and ours. Both babies and mother are in good health." On the other hand, the first baby to be delivered on the day of Eid al-Adha, was born at 4:15 a.m. and is the fourth child for the Al Menhali family. "The baby is in good health and we have named her Mathayel. We are extremely happy to have her join us on the first hours of Eid Al Adha. Mathayel has a brother and two sisters, who are overwhelmed with her birth today," said Mathayel's father, Omar Al Menhali.
