Three men have been jailed in Abu Dhabi for impersonating government officials to steal Dh200,000 from a woman. The Abu Dhabi Appellate Court sentenced the men to six months in jail to be followed by deportation. The court also banned them from using the internet for two months. According to records, one of the suspects claimed to be an official of the Abu Dhabi government and asked the victim to update her personal banking records. She gave him her ATM card number, which he used to withdraw Dh200,000 from her bank account. He transferred the amount to two accomplices. ICA/Expat Media
