The Private Notary Affairs Committee of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has imposed a total fine of Dh50,000 on three private notaries for failing to comply with regulations governing their profession. The decision, announced during a committee meeting chaired by Counsellor Yousef Saeed Alabri, comes after repeated violations by the notaries. The committee, tasked with ensuring adherence to legal standards, reviewed several cases of misconduct that led to the penalties. These notaries were found to be in breach of laws, decisions, and directives regulating the profession, prompting swift action from the ADJD to uphold the integrity of notarial services. In addition to the fines, the committee also approved several administrative decisions, including the completion of licensing for a new private notary office, registration of another notary, and the renewal of a government notary’s registration. The committee also reviewed transaction statistics for the first half of the year, revealing a 92 percent customer satisfaction rate with notarial services. The meeting was attended by key members of the judicial department, including Yousif Hasan Alhosani, Executive Director of the Judicial Support Sector, and Mohamed Hesham ElRafei, a legal expert.
