A man in Abu Dhabi has been ordered to pay Dh35,000 in damages after misusing a motorcycle number plate without the owner’s consent, according to the Abu Dhabi Family, Civil, and Administrative Cases Court. The case began when the motorcycle owner took his vehicle to a repair workshop. However, he later discovered that his number plate had been transferred to another motorcycle and used on the road without his approval. The individual responsible for the unauthorized plate transfer was caught by authorities and faced legal consequences. The Public Prosecution fined him Dh10,000, while the court ruled that he must pay Dh35,000 in compensation to the motorcycle owner for damages.
