A Latino and an Arab have been caught in Abu Dhabi with 5kg of cocaine in their possession, according to Abu Dhabi Police. The duo intended to sell illegal drugs in the country, police said. The pair now faces legal action. Brigadier Taher Gharib Al Dhaheri, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police, said police received a tipoff about the pair, and put them under surveillance. In the UAE, promoting or trafficking illegal drugs is a serious crime with a penalty of minimum jail time of five years and a hefty fine of up to Dh200,000. ICA/Expat Media
