Abu Dhabi authorities have arrested three Asian men after seizing 377 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine concealed inside oil cans, Abu Dhabi Police announced on Thursday (August 21). According to Abu Dhabi Police, the gang attempted to smuggle the narcotics using oil cans designed for sewing machines, describing it as a “sophisticated method” to evade detection. The operation, conducted in cooperation with the National Drug Control Service, led to the arrest of the suspects, who have since been referred to the competent authorities for further investigation. Police urged the public to steer clear of drugs, warning against the misconception that drug abuse brings comfort and happiness. “Drug abuse has devastating effects on human health and safety,” authorities emphasized, calling on residents to report suspicious activities through the security hotline 8002626.
