Abu Dhabi Police have once again demonstrated their commitment to protecting all lives—including ducks. A viral video captured by UAE resident Fayaz Bin Ahmed shows two patrol cars and two police officers assisting a family of ducks—two adults and five ducklings—to safety on a busy road near Al Bahr Towers, also known as the "Pineapple Buildings." Ahmed, who was on a bus when he witnessed the rescue, described it as an "unusual but heartwarming sight." Social media users quickly praised the officers for their compassion and dedication to animal welfare. This is not the first time UAE police have gone out of their way to help animals. In past incidents, authorities have stopped traffic to rescue cats, camels, and horses. Notably, in 2020, Abu Dhabi Police shut down six lanes of Sheikh Zayed Road to save a stranded cat, a rescue that took more than three hours. The latest duck rescue highlights the UAE’s commitment to animal welfare, with authorities regularly stepping in to ensure the safety of both humans and animals on the roads. ICA/Expat Media
