Abu Dhabi Police have released alarming footage showing real traffic accidents caused by sudden swerving, urging motorists to follow proper lane discipline to avoid such incidents. The video, produced in cooperation with the Monitoring and Control Centre and part of the ‘Your Comment’ initiative, highlights the dangers of reckless lane changes, especially when trying to overtake or reach an exit. According to the Directorate General of Traffic and Patrols, motorists must check road conditions before changing lanes and avoid aggressive maneuvers that can put lives at risk. “Motorists are urged to ensure they are using the correct lane when changing lanes,” Abu Dhabi Police reiterated. The campaign aims to educate drivers on responsible behavior, particularly during peak hours when traffic violations are most likely to cause accidents.
